Marco Island Florida Dining - In the Know...
So whether you're visiting or considering a move to Marco Island here are a few tips...
Breakfast
Everyone will tell you about Doreen's. Known for their awesome breakfast, but especially in season they can be very busy. If you don't have time or don't choose to wait check out Red Rooster. They are also on the island and have equally awesome breakfast but because they are off the strip they are often less crowded. Hoot's is another good local spot for breakfast and next to a really cute gift shop as well. Another option although seasonal is the Mango's brunch.
Lunch
Mangos is a great spot for lunch as well. Make sure to get a cocktail from bartender Bob. Here and neighboring CJ's on the Bay both offer good lunch options and you can get there by boat if your looking for a fun day on the water. Thursdays from 4-6 there's live music on the Esplanade. Another great boat too option is the Snook Inn. They have a salad bar and a little gift shop and if you hit the timing right even live music.
Dinner
There are a lot of great dinner options on the island. Marco Prime, Oyster Society, or DaVinci. You could be like me and think skip the pizza (because nothing compares to Chicago Pizza) but hold on...Stop in at Joey's on the strip...order the Joey's special extra thin, I get extra sausage too, and a couple garlic knots. You can thank me later.
Dessert
There is two great ice cream locations and depending which family member you ask you'll get a different answer as to which is best. Sweet Annie's has a cute candy section and a Superman Flavor choice to die for and Beebe's has a great dipped chocolate cone. Check them both out and let me know which one gets your vote!
These are just a few options. If you have some you'd like to share go ahead and put them in the comments.
If your visits to Marco become so frequent you have to have a place to call home, call or text me at 708-945-2121 and I can get you on that path as well.
